Blog Post 9
As I read Chapter 10 “Assembling a Multigenre Project”, I began to stress over our Project 3. I feel like we just turned in our Research Paper, and I have not gotten over stressing about it yet. Project 2 was a lot of work in a small amount of time. Now, as I stare at the description of Project 3, I worry that I will not have enough time to feel confident about submitting this assignment as well. This chapter gave me a few good pointers that I believe I can use. It also gave me examples of genres that I did not think of and could possibly use. The first point that it discusses is introducing your topic. I believe that we do not have to introduce our topic because our topics were introduced via Project 2. The next point that it discusses is sequencing your genre pieces. I do not know how to apply this to my topic because I originally planned on just stating the same concept in three creatively different ways. This chapter also talks a lot about audience. For my project, I am incorporating breast cancer awareness with donating money. For me, I feel like I have a wide audience. Because of this, I was thinking of creating each genre with a different audience to approach all angles. I plan on targeting the younger generation of teens and people in their early twenties by using some form of social media and sticking strictly to the awareness aspect. I also plan on targeting middle aged people and have yet to decide my other audience.
