Blog Post 10
As I spent my evening searching for Project 3 posts, I started to feel at a loss. Several of the posts were similar and did not have creative genres. I felt like I was experiencing déjà vu each time I picked on a “new” person’s site. The common theme throughout the ones I viewed was a brochure, a poster, and some form of social media. This is fine, but I want to only use one of these overused genres in my project. I continued to search for creative examples, and I staggered upon Erika Craft’s Project 3. The topic was flag football, and in my opinion, Erika came up with super creative genres to display this. Erika’s first genre was a t-shirt design. Her site featured a picture of her t-shirt. It was a plain shirt, but it got her message across well. Her second genre was my favorite. It was a playbook. Obviously I can not make a playbook for my topic, but it got me to think of creative ways to get my point across. Another creative genre I saw was a wordle. This was done by Bridget. Her topic was some Scottish song. Her wordle was inside the Scottish flag. I found this genre to be quite interesting and creative. Bridget also created a prezi. This may not be the most creative genre, but even our class did not think of it when we did that activity today. Overall, reviewing the previous classes Project 3 posts helped me to think of more creative ideas for mine.
