Research Proposal

My topic for my research paper is the Biomedical Engineering Society or BMES. I came up with this idea because I am interested in joining in the fall and my professor was talking about it on the first day of class because he is a supervisor for it. Within BMES, I am thinking about focusing on the ethical issues and concerns that biomedical engineering is surrounded with and how the Biomedical Engineering Society guides engineers in their research and testing. For a text, I learned the BMES code of ethics for my class and was thinking of using that. If that does not work for my text I was thinking I could find an image of an important biomedical engineered invention and use that. For my interview, I do not know exactly what questions I want to or should be asking. I do know that I am going to try to interview my professor Samuel C. Grant. Professor Grant is a biomedical engineering professor and is a member as well as a faculty advisor for the Biomedical Engineering Society. I do not have a research question yet. After I interview my professor, I think I will have a better understanding of where exactly I can go which my research question. I would like to know more about FSU’s involvement with the BMES, what events are activities do students participate in, how it helps with their research and career in the future, and what are your obligations as a member of the BMES.
